Equity International has an immense honor to announce our online art auction that will be auctioned online at the from April 26 to May 3, 2020 in order to raise funds for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This benefit online Art Auction features masterpieces by internationally renowned artist Igor Josifov including portraits of inspirational leaders such as Nelson Mandela that was exhibited at Palazzo Mora for the exhibition Personal Structures organized by the European Cultural Centre in the context of la Biennale di Venezia 2019.

Artist Biography
Igor Josifov (Macedonian, b. 1986) is a visual and performance artist who exhibits and performs internationally. Josifov began exhibiting his work in 2000 at the International Museum of Art in Norway and has since then exhibited and performed worldwide. From 2009 to 2014, “2-Dimensional” is a performance installation that explores the delicate relationship between the artist and the viewer. This invitational performance art installation is a Pritzker Foundation’s commission, for the opening of the Modern Wing of Art Institute, Chicago, USA. Josifov’s performance ‘2-Dimensional’ became a cultural study that was performed 8 times around the globe: on the opening of Renzo Piano's Modern Wing at the Art Institute in Chicago, 'Aesthetics of disappearance', Al Qasba, Maraya Art Centre, Sharjah UAE, the Onassis Cultural Center in Athens, Cite de la Mode in Paris, Le Quatrz in Brest and the Abrons Art Center in New York. In 2012, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Skopje (Macedonia) devoted an artist's solo exhibition: Igor Josifov - selected works (2007-2012), shortly after his participation at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 2010. Josifov is renowned for the diversity of his multiple works and the way he uses the human body to share his message about our contemporary world. In his role as a performance artist, he draws on all types of media to create his performances. “Taming fire” - is another monumental work, that began in 2006 until present. It combines performance art and fire drawings. The art of “Taming fire” is a running theme in Igor Josifov’s art. The magic of fire has been a fascination for quite some time. That fascination turns into a driving force that forms a landmark traveling solo exhibitions. Fire in our minds remains the most devastating force in nature; however, when viewing these body of work, one is swept by Josifov’s power to transcend our thoughts to renewal and rebirth. The success of “Taming fire” is the artist’s personal triumph. Igor Josifov participated at the VIII International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Uzbekistan upon an invitation from the European Cultural Center - Russia. In Tashkent Josifov presented two projects. At the State Museum of Arts of Uzbekistan where he presented his installation 'Becoming Clear | Crushing Glass', while at the National Gallery of the Arts of Uzbekistan he performed 'Fire Within'. Josifov took part of ‘Personal Structures - Identities’ organized by the European Cultural Centre in the context of la Biennale di Venezia where he presented his project ‘Че биде’ (It will be) that was exhibited from May 11 until November 24, 2019 at Palazzo Mora in Venice, Italy. This artist possesses talent and uniqueness, traits that explain the continuous and exponential evolution of his career.
